Asia Rugby congratulates Wang Shao Ing on her appointment to the prestigious World Rugby Women’s Advisory Committee.
Shao (Singapore Rugby Union) is currently a Judicial Officer (JO) serving on the Disciplinary Committees of both Asia Rugby and World Rugby. She was most recently appointed to be a JO at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Over the years Shao has been instrumental in helping to develop women’s rugby in her own Union, the SRU, and, more recently, she was at the forefront of the development of Women’s Rugby across the rest of Asia as Chairperson of Asia Rugby’s Women’s Rugby Committee, driving our ‘Women’s Rugby Strategic Plan’.
Shao was elected onto the Asia Rugby Exco where she served between 2014 – 2016.
