Hong Kong narrowly qualified for next year’s World Rugby U20 Trophy with a 29-19 win over Korea.

Having lost to Chinese Taipei in round two, this win was enough to see them qualify ahead of the hosts. Nicholas McGrory scored twice with Douglas O’Donnell, Tomek Tsang and Wai Shing Sung adding further tries for the victors.
Chinese Taipei made it two wins from their three matches with a 14-7 victory against Singapore, but they missed out on a historic qualification without a winning bonus point.
In Division I it was Sri Lanka who took the spoils with a 40-0 defeat of the Philippines. They had beaten China 39-14 in the semi-final and this was another demonstration of their strength at this level.

Thulaib Hassen Hassen scored a brace while there were also tries for Faisar Adahan, Asiri Senavirathne, Janidu Yasas and Samuel Ogbebor.
Hosts Thailand beat China 29-10 to finish third, Nakarin Wisetphanichkil scoring two of their four tries.
In Division II the title is still very much on the line with the UAE and Malaysia battling out a 12-12 draw. It is an historic tournament being the first-ever U19 Division II competition and both sides will be out to get the win when they play the second leg on 18 December.
Adam Alias gave Malaysia the lead giving the hosts a 7-0 lead at the break. But tries from Stuart Duncan and Hamish Anderson, the latter when Malaysia had been reduced to 14 men, gave the UAE a 12-7 lead. But with less than five minutes remaining Noor Hisham drew the scores level to set up a thrilling final match of the Asia Rugby calendar.
