Asia Rugby announced that Cambodia Federation of Rugby, Iraq Rugby Committee and Palestine Rugby Committee have been granted Asia Rugby Associate membership bringing the number of national unions in membership to 34.
Afghanistan Rugby Federation has also been granted full membership.
All four Unions have been working hard to promote the game in their respective countries and this inclusion and recognition will help propel the game in the respective countries.
Asia Rugby President Mr Qais Al-Dhalai Commented on the occasion “As a President of Asia Rugby, I am delighted to welcome Cambodia Federation of Rugby, Iraq Rugby Committee and Palestine Rugby Committee to the Asia Rugby family. I would also like to congratulate Afghanistan Rugby Federation who is now full member of Asia Rugby.
I would like to thank Asia Rugby Executive Committee, the Asia Rugby Council and a special mention to members of the Ethics and Governance Committee lead by Chairperson Kakhramon Djalilov.

With the addition of these new members Asia Rugby now has 34 member unions, and collectively Asia Rugby members represent a population of more than 4 billion people, which is 55% of the population of the planet.
